Employees shall provide themselves with and keep in first-class condition a kit of the following tools:

  5. Utility Knife

  7. T&B Sta-Kon Tool

  9. Channel Locks (2 pairs)
  10. Flat-Head Screwdrivers (Assorted Sizes)
  11. Phillips-Head Screwdrivers (Assorted Sizes)
  12. Sheetrock Saw (Hand Type)
  13. Nutdrivers (1/4” through 7/16”)
  14. Hacksaw
  15. Hammer
  16. Tool Pouch
  17. Volt-Ohm Meter
  18. Tool Box, Bag, or Tote (20” x 8 ½” x 9” Minimum with Lock)

Inside Wireman

Journeymen shall furnish and have in their possession when reporting to work, the following hand tools for the performance of their work:

  6. Tin Snips
  7. Continuity Tester (Polarity)
  8. Diagonal Pliers

  10. Nut drivers
  11. 2 Crescent Wrenches
  12. Torpedo Level
  13. Variable Allen Wrenches to 3/8”
  14. Long-nose Pliers
  15. Channel-Lock Pliers
  16. Combination Square
  17. Keyhole Saw
  18. Hammer
  19. Assorted Screwdrivers (6 ea.)
  20. Chalk Line Reel
  21. Flashlight
  22. Chain Tong or Strap Wrench 14”
  23. Lineman’s Pliers
  24. MC Splitter Frame
  25. Variable Voltage Tester CAT III
  26. Tap Wrench l/4″
  27. Bending Protractor or Level

Apprentice

It is suggested that the following tools be purchased as quickly as possible, as they are considered the expected minimum for an apprentice to have. You should bring these tools to your first day on the job.
